SIS 2010 Cardiology Nurse/Tech Symposium

The 8th Annual SIS Cardiology Nurse/Tech Symposium offers a comprehensive, in-depth educational experience for cardiology nurses, PA-Cs, cath lab technicians, and other allied healthcare professionals who manage cardiovascular patients in the cath lab, operating room, ICU, CCU, telemetry and associated areas.

This comprehensive program will provide up-to-date, practical clinical information on the diagnosis, treatment and management of cardiovascular disease. Faculty from a multidisciplinary team of Cardiologists, Cardiac Surgeons, and Nurse’s will provide an update on technological advances in the field from the perspectives of cardiology, cardiac surgery, and nursing.   The goal of this course is to provide nurses, physician assistants, technicians and other allied health care professionals with a hands-on review of cardiac anatomy and physiology, an update on the advances in interventional and surgical technologies and techniques, and discussions regarding evidence-based practice of cardiovascular and cardiac surgery patients.  This activity is designed to change Nurses, Cath lab technicians, PA-Cs, and ARNPs knowledge and competence as it relates to the care of patients with cardiovascular disease. 

The target audience for this symposium is Cardiology Nurses, ARNPs, PA-Cs, Cath Lab Technicians, and allied healthcare professionals who manage cardiovascular patients in the cath lab, operating room, ICU, CCU, telemetry and other associated areas.
